Some pupils of the Adam-Kyiren Methodist Basic School in the Gomoa district of the Central Region have refused to go to school due to the absence of desks for them to sit on, Joy News has discovered.
The pupils explained a typical school day is filled with them sitting on the floor to fulfil all class-related activities.
According to them, this routine sitting on the floor has left them with all sort of waist and bodily pains keeping them out of school the following day.
The school, Adam-Kyiren Methodist Basic School was built in 1952 by the government to serve two communities in the Gomoa district of the Central Region namely, Adam and Kyiren communities.
