The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament (MP) for Abetifi in the Eastern Region, Peter Wiafe Pepera,has died after battling with an unknown illness.

BNI DENIES COVER-UP IN JB'S MURDER
The Bureau of National Investigations (BNI) says media reports suggesting that it wa covering up facts on the gruesome murder of Joseph Boakye Danquah-Adu, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament (MP) for Abuakwa North in the Eastern Region, are false.

NAVY OFFICERS STRIKE! - TORTURE FISHERMAN & 9 RESIDENTS IN DZEMENI
28-year-old fisherman, Kwasi Gadri, accused of insulting navy officers in Torgor Dzemeni, a fishing community in the South Dayi District of the Volta Region, has been beaten to pulp by four navy officers, Today can report. The victim, who is native of Bakpa in the Central North Tongu District of the Volta Region, is currently at the Ho General Hospital, receiving treatment.

ACHIMOTA-OFANKOR ROAD COST SHOOTS UP TO 217%
A report by the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) of Parliament has revealed that the construction of the Achimota-Ofankor Highway, which was estimated to cost the Ghanaian taxpayer an amount of GHC40.4 million, had shot up to GHC120 million, representing an increase of about 217%.

HEAVY RAINS LEAVE THOUSANDS DISPLACED IN ACCRA & AGONA SWEDU
Eight of torrential rains in Accra last Saturday night caused widespread flooding and destruction to properties in low-lying areas. The rains, which began at about 9 p.m., Saturday to about 4 a.m., Sunday, left many suburbs of the city generally submerged in water.
