Baylor demoted its president, Kenneth Starr, and fired its football coach over the school's handling of sexual assault cases

Kenneth Starr, the independent counsel whose report served as the basis for President Bill Clinton’s impeachment in 1998, was demoted on Thursday by Baylor University after an investigation found “fundamental failure” by the university in its handling of accusations of sexual assault against football players. Starr was stripped of his title as president but will remain chancellor.
The university also fired Art Briles, the successful coach of the football team for the past eight seasons, and placed its athletic director, Ian McCaw, on probation.
